Sliabh Beagh swimmers travelled to Cookstown on Saturday evening last for the third of their Forest Feast Aquasprint galas this season. Almost 30 swimmers represented the club and the competition was fierce between the two teams.
The relay races were a dead heat all the way but Cookstown gained a slight lead by the end. With a tight finish Cookstown won with 206 points to Sliabh Beagh’s 194.
The swimmers acquitted themselves very well with many of the younger children feeling the experience of a ‘pb’.
Sliabh Bheagh want to thank Cookstown swimming club who ran a great competition with a lovely follow-up reception. Thanks too, to all the parent volunteers who helped out on behalf of Sliabh Beagh as time-keepers, recorders, touch judges, group leaders and coaches.
A big thank you to Forest Feast who have sponsored the competition again this year and who supplied the club t-shirts.
Our next gala is approaching fast – we are away to Limavady on April 2nd. Check out our facebook page, website and notice board for details.
